In planning your night out at Downtown Disney
Pleasure Island, don't forget to include dinner. Not only can you choose
from all of the restaurants at the Downtown Disney
Marketplace and Downtown Disney West Side, but Downtown Disney
Pleasure Island has some impressive eateries of its own. The largest
restaurants on the Island are Fulton's Crab House and the Portobello Yacht
Club. Fulton's features an impressive array of fresh seafood- so fresh you
can see the air-bills from where it was flown in from that morning! The Portobello Yacht Club has an impressive array of Northern Italian cuisine.
Be sure to sit outside in their garden area, weather permitting. Although
located on the "Island" neither of these restaurants requires admission to
Some of the
more unique shopping venues at the Walt Disney World ®
Resort are available at
Pleasure Island. Now, don't be worried that in order to shop here that
you'll have to fend off thousands of intoxicated guests. These shops
are open all day.
House - features various character merchandise, including sports
wear for both men and women.
Changing Attitudes - features upscale women's apparel and
features some very unique Disney merchandise, including
personalized t-shirts, various sportswear items and baseball caps.
Many of the items found here can not be found elsewhere on property.
Depot - for the surfer in the family, you'll find various types of
surf wear here, including Stussy and Mossimo.
Music Legends Shop - One of the most unique stores on property,
the Music Legends Shop offers a wide variety of music (CD's and Box
Sets in particular), along with some Rock 'n Roll Memorabilia.
Suspended Animation - Much of the same merchandise available in
the Art of Disney Store (Downtown Disney Marketplace) can be found
here, but this location has some gems of it's own. Another
"dangerous" store if you're in to Disney collectibles.
Fulton's Crab House
This seafood establishment is located in the former "Empress Lily"
restaurant. A large paddleboat, permanently docked at the entrance to
Pleasure Island. While the menu is predominantly seafood, there are
non-seafood items on the menu. However, this restaurant is long on
atmosphere, and very short on food and service. There are far better
dining venues in and around the Downtown Disney area.
Portobello Yacht Club
Located right next to Fulton's Crab House is the Portobello Yacht
Club. Specializing in Italian cuisine, this restaurant provides some
wonderful views of Lake Buena Vista, but fails to deliver consistently
good meals. Not worth the price.
